The full version — with the built-in AI advisor, OCR scanning, and knowledge base — runs on a Mac with an Apple Silicon chip (M1 or later, 16 GB RAM). If you're on Windows, Linux, or an older Mac, ROOTED's carbon calculator, emission factors, and audit-ready reports still work on any machine through a simple installer. You get everything except the AI features. A managed hosted version — with full AI and no hardware requirements — launches later this year.
